How to find a SEO Friendly Domain Name Quickly
Let’s begin this lesson on the assumption that you’ve chosen a topic for your new website, and have done some research into the keywords that are associated with it.
Now you have a list of keywords, and key phrases to target for your website, the next step is to find a suitable, applicable domain name. Something relevant, catchy, easy to remember and importantly search engine friendly.
We’ve disovered an easy way to find a keyword-rich, SEO friendly domain name which will help greatly when it comes to Search Engine Optimisation.
Probably the most efficient way to find your new URL is to use the www.GoDaddy.com bulk URL lookup which can be found on the bulk domain register part of their website.
You can search for URLs by simply copying and pasting your key phrases and keyword list into the domain suggestion box, and also your selected keyword phrases with the spaces replaced with ‘-’ (in notepad, choose ‘Replace’ then replace a ‘space’ with ‘-’) for example mygreatdomain and my-great-domain.
All you then have to do then is tick the three most popular extensions (com, net and org) and away you go (I personally don’t recommend any others if you’re after the most hits). You can search up to 500 keywords or keyword phrases at a time, and it’s a very quick process.
If your chosen niche is a highly competitive one, you may find that a lot of the domain names are already taken, and the website will let you know which ones have already gone. If however you’re lucky you’ll be able to register a domain name which is also your chosen keyword or keyword phrase, and that will be very beneficial when it comes to search engine optimisation!
